55 new houses proposed for Nunney

A 4-year project to increase affordable housing in Nunney has resulted in agreement with all interested parties to build up to 55 new houses.

Affordable housing, NunneyNunney is a very popular village to live and work in, with an active community life, village shop, pub and school.

The proposed new housing will be located in a glebe field at the top of the village, between Nunney Catch and Pookfield Close on the Flowerfield Estate. The land is owned by the Diacose of Bath and Wells.

Of the 55 properties 16 are earmarked for subsidised housing, of which 80% will be rent or part-buy with priority will be given to Nunney residents.

The project will also include a large children’s playground.
