Michael Douglas’ star turn as Liberace in Behind the Candelabra is the next film shown at Nunney Village Hall, on Friday 25 October.
Scott Thorson (Matt Damon), a young man raised in care, is introduced to flamboyant entertainer Liberace (Michael Douglas) and quickly finds himself in a romantic relationship with the star.
Swathed in wealth and excess, Scott and ‘Lee’ have a long, intense affair in which Scott even submits to plastic surgery to please his lover.
Inevitably however, the sparkle begins to tarnish and Scott rebels, but when Liberace takes a new lover, Scott find himself on the street…
Michael Douglas won an Emmy Award for Best Actor for Behind the Candelabra.

Fish and chips will be available before Behind the Candelabra. Please ask when buying your tickets in advance. Fish and chip tickets are limited, and can be purchased at the SPAR at £6.00 each. Film tickets must be purchased separately.
The supper is at 6.15pm, and the film will start at 7.30pm.
Behind the Candelabra is shown at Nunney Village Hall on Friday 25 October at 7.30pm. Door open at 7.00pm. Seats cannot be reserved, so please come early.
