Finding your feet is shown on the next film night at Nunney Village Hall on Friday 11 May, presented by Somerset Moviola and the Nunney Village Hall Committee.
Finding Your Feet is a 2017 romantic comedy film directed by Richard Loncraine and written by Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard. The film stars Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie and Joanna Lumley.
‘Lady’ Sandra Abbott (Imelda Staunton) discovers that her husband of forty years (John Sessions) is having an affair with her best friend (Josie Lawrence).
She seeks refuge in London with her estranged, older sister Bif (Celia Imrie). Sandra is a fish out of water next to her outspoken, serial dating, free spirited sibling who lives on an inner-city council estate.
But difference is just what Sandra needs and she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to a community dance class where she meets her sister’s friends, Charlie (Timothy Spall), Jackie (Joanna Lumley) and Ted (David Hayman).
This colourful group of defiant and energetic third-agers start to show Sandra that retirement is a beginning, and that divorce could be her new lease of life and love.
Finding your feet has a 12A rating. Films rated 12A are suitable for children aged 12 and over.
But people younger than 12 may see a 12A so long as they are accompanied by an adult. In such circumstances, responsibility for allowing a child under 12 to view lies with the accompanying adult.
Finding your feet is shown at Nunney Village Hall on Friday 11 May at 7.30pm. Door open at 7.00pm. Seats cannot be reserved, so please come early.
Tickets cost £5 in advance at the SPAR shop in Nunney or £6 on the door. Advance booking is highly recommended (the film nights frequently sell out in advance!).
A licensed bar and ice creams will be available. The bar opens at 7pm. The film programme begins at 7.30pm.
