Television presenter Noel Edmonds turned up in the Market Place in Nunney recently with his restored Routemaster bus.
The Deal or No Deal and former Swap Shop host enjoyed Sunday lunch with friends and relatives in The George at Nunney after a short visit to Nunney Castle.
His third wife, makeup artist Liz Davies, is understood to have relatives in Frome. He has been in The George on one previous occasion.
Edmonds arrived in an old Routemaster bus, nicknamed Victoria, which he bought on Ebay and painstakingly restored. The bus has more than a million miles on the clock.
As well as being a licensed helicopter pilot, Noel Edmonds owns a London black cab which he uses for the 5 mile commute into the Deal or No Deal studio in Bristol.
To distract attention, he has a lifesize mannequin, called Candice, in the back of the taxi. Candice even has her own Twitter account with 18,000 followers.
The presenter turned television executive lives near Bristol. He regularly invests in property and bought his daughter a £1.4 house near Exeter.
Earlier this year he announced that he was ready to buy the BBC, backed by a group of investors. He said he plans to turn it into a non-profit organisation run along commercial lines.
