Nunney First School hosts a bingo night on Saturday 26 November 7.30pm to mark 120 years in its current building.
Doors open at 7pm and the bingo starts at 7.30pm. Everyone is very welcome to join in.
Nunney First School moved into the purpose-built building on Catch Road in 1896 and currently celebrates 120 years on the site. Previously, education in Nunney took place in the Church Rooms, next to All Saints Church.
Last year Visit Nunney published a series of articles on the 19th century struggle to get education for all in Nunney. The school’s history was also the topic of an exhibition that was on display in the church throughout the summer.
Now Nunney First School celebrates its 120th anniversary at Catch Road with lots of fun activities throughout the year. Each month a different event will be held, with funds raised going towards the play provision for the children.

Visit Nunney recently won £1,000 in Christmas lights for our village. Half of this will go on a new Christmas tree outside Nunney First School.
The Visit Nunney Christmas Star Appeal in aid of Cancer Research UK aims to place a beautiful lit star on top of this tree, donated by Visit Nunney if the fundraising target of £500 is reached.
