The George at Nunney hosts a live music and BBQ evening in aid of the Nunney Church Raise the Roof Appeal on Saturday 13 August.
The Raise the Roof Appeal recently awarded the contract to install a new nave ceiling of and four dormer windows to C & J Pearce, local handyman Roy Pearce’s family business.
Around £160,000 has already been raised in the past nine years from grants, donations and fundraising activities. A further £50,000 is needed to complete the project.
Work on the church is expected to start in September, however, and will continue for six months. During this time the church will be closed to the public.
The George at Nunney’s live music & BBQ events will feature live music by the talented guitarist Justin Daish.
He was lead guitarist for legendary musician Jet Harris before Harris’ death in 2011. Justin has performed with the Shadows’ Bruce Welch and Brian ‘Licorice’ Locking and has played alongside Cliff Hall, Alan Jones and Mike Berry. Justin has appeared on television and radio.
And of course The George at Nunney’s chefs will lay on a delicious BBQ and selection of salads – all included in the ticket price.
Tickets are £10 each, with half of net sales going directly to the Raise the Roof Appeal.
