They are not awards for outstanding products, but for websites that engage from the start. Above all, they showcase that outstanding websites don’t require a big budget or massive team.
Since their inception in 2009, the Awards have been supported by celebrity entrepreneurs and tech experts including Sarah Beeny, Jamie Murray-Wells, Julie Meyer, Alison Cork and Kate Russell.
The judging panel assesses entries on the quality of design, usability, content and product or service evident within each site put forward.
There were 1,500 entries in total this year across all categories.
Visit Nunney was shortlisted in the News / Information category, with an overall winner and People’s Choice Award also up for grabs. We are up against tough competition, including big budget sites like those of Dragons’ Den’s Kelly Hoppen and leading financial services firm Lansdown Hargreaves.
The Good Web Guide’s editor Arabella Dymoke said, “As ever, the standard of entries has been impressive covering a very diverse range of subjects. It’s been difficult to filter them down to a shortlist and the next step will be even harder. What the shortlist does represent is a good mix of sites that we hope you’ll find useful.”
The shortlist for the final round across a number of categories was announced on Thursday 30 November.
