Queen Elizabeth II has two birthdays: her real birthday on 21 April and an official one in June, traditionally marked with the ceremony of Trooping the Colour in London.

Everyone is invited to come onto the street and watch the beacon at 10pm. The Nunney beacon joins hundreds of other towns and villages lighting beacons at the same time.

Audience members at Thursday night’s concert by acoustic balladiers howdenjones at Nunney village hall will also be invited to join in.

Children at Nunney First School will be presented with a commemorative medal during the day by Nunney Parish Council.

Nunney Community Association will host a tea party with loyal toast in Old Quarry Gardens for Her Majesty’s official birthday in June. Full details will be on our website nearer the time.
