Nunney volunteers have collected a large number of cider bottles around the cemetery on Ridgeway Lane – and not for the first time either.
On Sunday 18 February they found dozens of empty bottles discarded around the area. Although it’s not the first time this has happened, the problem is thought to be getting worse.
“It’s not clear whether this is one individual causing the litter or a group,” one Nunney resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told Visit Nunney.
“But it’s antisocial, bad for the environment and – particularly in this location – disrespectful. Sadly, it’s not as if they can install a webcam or CCTV to catch the culprit or culprits.”
The problem has been reported to Nunney Parish Council for discussion at its next meeting, on 5 March.
