Consultation on extending 20mph zone

Nunney Parish Council is holding a consultation on extending the 20mph zone in Nunney, in Nunney Village Hall on Wednesday 13 September from 6pm to 9pm.

Flashing speed indicator devices (SIDs) installed on Catch Road and Frome Road prove that vehicles are regularly travelling into the village at over 50mph. Is this acceptable in your community?

Following repeated complaints about speeding traffic in Nunney, the Parish Council is considering asking Somerset Highways to extend the current 20mph speed limit past the school to the rest of the village. But before deciding whether to go ahead, the Council would like to hear your views.

The proposals will be on display in Nunney Village Hall on Wednesday 13 September from 6pm to 9pm. So come along and make your views known.

Whether you are ‘for’ or ‘against’, or would like to make other comments on reducing traffic speed, make sure you let the Parish Council know – if you don’t say, the Council can’t guess.
