Consultation on fire and rescue services

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is consulting on changes to the service, including closure of fire stations.

Under the new proposals, underused resources would be moved from where the risk is low. More investment would go into work to reach the most vulnerable members of society and help keep them safe.

This includes proposed closures of a number of fire stations where risk and activity is low and the removal of fire engines that are underused.

The consultation on changes to the fire service runs until 22 September.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service wants to hear from as many people as possible. There are a number of drop-in consultation events across Devon and Somerset.

The nearest drop-in consultation event to Nunney is in Frome Library on Thursday 29 August 10am – 2pm. Just pop along and share any concerns or questions you have about changes to the service.
