Would you like to be on Nunney Parish Council? There are vacancies for next month’s parish council elections and you don’t need any experience.
Several of Nunney Parish Council’s eleven members are retiring at the elections, which are held on 7 May.
Being a parish councillor is a voluntary role that involves one meeting a month, usually held at Dallimore Mead Hall from 7.30pm on the first Monday of the month.
The parish clerk distributes any papers to be discussed at the meeting well in advance.
In addition, being on Nunney Parish Council may require a couple of hours a month in between meetings.
You do not need any experience to become a parish councillor and Nunney Parish Council is not political.
If you are interested and would like to know more, please contact Beverley Palmer, Parish Clerk, on 0775 293 6709 or email [email protected].
Alternatively, contact Ken Lloyd, Chairman, on 01373 837 395 or email [email protected].
You have to be quick though, because the nomination forms have to be received at Mendip District Council’s office in Shepton Mallet on Wednesday 8 April.
