When Nunney First School reopens in September, it will once again have three classes thanks to a full capacity Reception intake at 18 pupils.
The increase means that the school has been able to appoint an additional teacher and reopen its third class.
The school welcomes Miss Abbi Mead, who will join the nunney staff team next year.
This is a fantastic milestone for the school. Nunney First School would like to thank everyone who has helped, supported and promoted the school during its journey.
The COVID-19 pandemic closes schools in March. Children at Nunney First School have been completing some fantastic learning at home with the support of their dedicated parents, carers and teachers.
Teachers have been setting daily home learning challenges via the Class Doja app, which also allows pupils to build an online portfolio of learning.
Challenges teachers have set have helped pupils to build vital skills in maths, spelling, reading and writing.
Teachers have also provided fun, themed projects covering wider curriculum areas, and at the request of parents, much of the learning has been designed to take place outside.
The beginning of June saw the school open more widely as it welcomed Reception and Year 1 pupils back to join children who have been able to attend across the lockdown because their parents have jobs that were critical to the COVID-19 campaign.
