Farewell party for Max and Sue

Come and join the farewell party for former postmasters Max and Sue Innes at Nunney village hall on Saturday 11 February.

Post Office, Nunney

Nunney’s former Post Office on Castle Green

Having run Nunney Post Office for many years, Max and Sue have just sold up and are now looking forward to their retirement in Whitchurch.

All those in the village who would like to join in saying farewell to Sue and Max on their leaving the village are invited to come to their farewell party.

The NCA and Village Hall Committees have joined together to put on a party to thank them both for the very considerable contribution they have both made to the village over the past 20 years.

Sue has been very active in keeping bookings for Nunney village hall and the voluntary car scheme. Max has served on Nunney Community Association and other community bodies.

Their leaving do will take place in the village hall on Saturday 11 February at 7.00 for 7.30pm.

All friends are welcome but hall capacity means numbers are limited to 100, so to get some idea of numbers villagers are asked to collect free tickets, available from the SPAR shop.

There will be a bar and people are asked to bring an assortment of party food that will be collated together on one large table.

The organisers will be offering a celebratory drink on the “house”. If uncertain what food to bring then do contact Rosie Davis on 836210 who is co-ordinating this aspect.

Visit Nunney would like to publish a tribute to Max and Sue. If you have any photos, anecdotes or would just like to contribute best wishes, please email or drop it off at Beehive Cottage in the Market Place as soon as possible. Thank you.
