Film Night: Going in Style

Somerset Moviola and the Nunney Village Hall Committee present Going in Style, on Friday 8 December at Nunney Village Hall.

Going in Style

Going in Style is a 2017 American heist comedy film directed by Zach Braff and written by Theodore Melfi.

A remake of the 1979 film of the same name, it stars Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, Joey King, Matt Dillon, Christopher Lloyd, Ann-Margret and John Ortiz.

The film follows a trio of retirees (Freeman, Caine and Arkin) who plan to rob a bank after their pensions are cancelled.

Desperate to pay the bills and provide for the loved ones, they risk all by embarking on a daring bid to rob the very bank that absconded with their money.

The three actors exude charisma and have a lovely chemistry with each other, providing delightful on-screen company.

Going in Style has a 12A rating. Films classified 12A contain material that is not generally suitable for children aged under 12.

No one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Adults planning to take a child under 12 to view a 12A film should consider whether the film is suitable for that child.

Going in Style is shown at Nunney Village Hall on Friday 8 December at 7.30pm. Door open at 7.00pm. Seats cannot be reserved, so please come early.

Tickets cost £5.00 in advance at the SPAR shop in Nunney or £6.00 on the door. A licensed bar and ice creams will be available.
