On Friday 8 May the UK celebrates the 70th anniversary of VE Day – the end of the Second World War. Were you in Nunney on VE Day?
The above photo of the Market Place in Nunney was taken by Jill Clough, daughter of the Rev. Percy Clough, during Wings for Victory Week 1943. It isn’t hard to imagine that the village looked equally festive for VE Day.
Were you in Nunney on VE Day, or do you have stories told to you by relatives who were here? Perhaps you even have old photos in the attic?
If you have anything at all to share, please email [email protected].
