Nunney Church teas 2019

Enjoy tea and delicious cakes in the historic setting of Nunney Church from Sunday 7 April until Sunday 1 September.

Tea in church nunney

Tea is served in All Saints Church by local volunteers every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 3pm to 5pm.

There are no teas in church on Saturdays this year. It have proved very difficult to recruit sufficient volunteers.

Anyone who would like to play the organ or the piano during the afternoons when teas are served is also very welcome.

The church has a Norman font, a medieval wall-painting of a knight, stain glass windows and interesting medieval and Tudor effigies. Locals are at hand to answer your questions about Nunney Castle, the church and village history.

In glorious weather All Saints Church Nunney attracts lots of visitors, but even on grey damp days it is surprising how many cups of tea get poured.

Tea in church is served by local volunteers, so please come and buy some cakes to take home with you too! As well as tea and coffee, soft drink are available and on Bank Holidays scones ‘cream tea’ style.

Anyone who might like to offer help for an occasional Sunday afternoon between 3pm and 5pm would be most welcome.

There are no plans to open on Saturdays through the summer. But if any of you would like to offer your services for a Saturday the team would love to changes these arrangements.

It isn’t an onerous task as long as you are happy to make a cake, a few cups of tea and welcome visitors.
