Nunney Pre-School welcomes new Leaders

Nunney Pre-School begins an exciting new journey as it welcomes two new leaders to the team: Jeanette Steinbeck and Natalie Dunford.

Nunney Pre-School Leaders

Jeanette Steinbeck (Pre-School Leader) and Natalie Dunford (Deputy Leader)

Jeanette joins as Pre-School Leader and brings with her a wealth of experience from both England and Demark, where she grew up and trained as an Early Years teacher.

Denmark is world renowned for gold-standard Early Years provision and Jeanette is keen to bring the Danish flavour to the Pre-School, with a high-quality play space, plenty of outdoor learning experiences and that special Danish hygge (cosy, contented) feeling.

Slippers are the footwear of choice and Jeanette will be leading regular ‘wellie walks’ and forest school activities from now on.

“I love being outside with the children so they can explore and enjoy nature at first hand. We then take this back into the Pre-School in lots of creative ways.” says Jeanette.

Natalie, the Pre-School’s new Deputy Leader, is our home-grown expert, having worked with children and families for over 15 years in Frome and the local area.

Her experience and expertise will ensure that children at Nunney Pre-School thrive and develop in her care.

“Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming since I arrived, especially the parents and children. I’m very excited to be working with Jeanette and Jane to make Nunney Pre-School a wonderful place for children to learn and play. We’ve got lots of new ideas – so watch this space,” Natalie says.

Both leaders are keen to capture the potential of the Pre-School and develop the provision to the highest standard.

Some of the exciting new developments will include extending the opening hours and opening 5 days per week; perfect timing for parents who are eligible for the Government’s new 30 hours of free childcare offer in September.

Parents are welcome to come and have a look around or drop into the very popular ‘Mums and Toddlers’ Monday morning session.

If you are interested in booking a place for your child, would like to arrange a visit or just find out more information, then please contact the Pre-School on 01373 836 353 or email [email protected].

The Pre-School will also be open for visits during the Nunney First School Summer Fete on Sunday 9 July.
