The George at Nunney is an attractive three storey Grade II listed coaching inn and hotel. Over recent years it has been carefully restored using its existing period features with contemporary design and decor, creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. It has achieved the prestigious Retailer of the Year award for regional brewer Wadworth in both 2013 and 2016.

In addition to the 10 letting rooms, The George at Nunney lets a two storey period terraced cottage located nearby in the village. Location
Situated in the village of Nunney described by the BBC Radio 4 as the prettiest village in England. This historic village has become a well known tourist destination particularly for overseas visitors due to its 14th Century castle and 12th Century Grade I listed Saxon Church. The moat which surrounds the castle is said to be one of the deepest in England.

The George is directly opposite the castle with its front beer terrace enjoying the tranquil setting of the brook that runs through the village.

Nunney is just two miles south west from the popular market town of Frome, a 20 minute drive from the city of Bath and 15 minutes from Longleat Safari park. The beautiful city of Wells is also within easy reach.
