Relief carvings exhibition

An exhibition and sale of fascinating and inspiring relief carvings by artist Cameron Scott is being held in Nunney Church on 7, 8 and 9 August.

Cameron ScottCameron Scott currently lives in Nunney.

He graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. During the 1960s he was awarded the Cinzano National Scholarship for Great Britain, which took him to Florence and he subsequently worked for leading design and fashion houses in Italy and France.

He had a successful career in design, specialising in textiles and fine art embroidery, and as a lecturer at Shrewsbury School of Art before discovering his passion for wood carving.

His acclaimed wood carvings are frieze-like works of around 24 inches across and 15-18 inches high. Proceeds of this sale will be in aid of the Nunney Church Roof Restoration and CHASE Africa.

All Saints Church is open between 10am and 5pm.
