Stay at Penny’s Mill bed and breakfast
Penny’s Mill is a luxury bed and breakfast run by cookery school owner Rosie Davies.
Fifteen years ago, Rosie Davies moved on from her post as senior tutor at a local cookery school to start her own micro-school. Cooking with Rosie now has an international reputation, especially among chefs working on major yachts in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Now she can offer you her hospitality, the freedom of her beautiful bed and breakfast – and the chance to sample Rosie’s cooking! Most of all, she will do her level best to give you a relaxed, informal, comfortable stay in one of Somerset’s most special places.
Penny’s Mill is an attractive converted watermill, now over 200 years old. Nunney’s mill is mentioned in Domesday Book. Thankfully the guest accommodation is now decidedly 21st century. Nunney brook runs through the informal grounds and past the walled vegetable garden and a waterfall tumbles from the millpond sluice.
Each of our three spacious rooms at Penny’s Mill provide comforts such as crisp white cotton bed linen, down pillows and duvets (man-made alternatives available), large towels, free wireless broadband and flat screen TVs.
Breakfast at Penny’s Mill is served in the conservatory, just by the paved terrace overlooking Nunney Brook.
If you visit us for Bed & Breakfast, sometimes Rosie will be able to offer you an evening meal. Fresh vegetables come from Penny’s Mill’s walled vegetable garden. Availability depends partly on whether a course is running, but don’t hesitate to ask.
