The George at Nunney is a 17th century country inn in the centre of Nunney with an excellent reputation for food and hospitality.

The George has an excellent reputation for great food in our restaurant, friendly service and a relaxing ambience combining period features with ambient lighting and contemporary decor.

Located opposite 14th century Nunney Castle, it is a great choice for hotels near Longleat Safari Park or hotels near Frome.

Contemporary touches add to the whole experience at The George. The walled garden provides drinking or dining ‘al fresco’.

The George at Nunney has nine rooms, including four poster bedrooms and is rated 3*** by the English Tourism Council. It has also won awards for its breakfast.

All rooms have been recently refurbished and decorated with modern amenities including flat screen freeview TV, DVD player, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. All have en-suite bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and lounge area.

The ‘Deluxe’ and ‘Superior’ rooms include Ipod dock alarm clock to charge and play music from mobile devices.

The George welcomes children of all ages both in the restaurant and in the rooms. They can accommodate babies and toddlers and have cots and high chairs if needed.
