The Nunney Players

Nunney’s resident amateur dramatics society The Nunney Players has won countless awards.

Nunney PlayersIn October 2003 Sally McCarney put up posters and delivered leaflets around the village suggesting staging a show at the village hall. People interested were asked to come to Rock Cottage for a meeting in early November.

Sally was hoping that perhaps a dozen people would show up. Over 20 arrived, however, some of whom had to sit on the floor.

The rest – as they say – is Nunney history. The first Nunney Players production took place in February 2004.

You don’t even have to live in Nunney; many members from outside the village have already joined The Nunney Players.
