Visit Nunney Christmas Stars Appeal

Donate to the Visit Nunney Christmas Stars Appeal in aid of Cancer Research UK and put a star on Nunney’s new Christmas trees.

Visit Nunney Christmas Stars Appeal

Earlier this month Visit Nunney won £1,000 in professional Christmas lights for our village in the Revive & Thrive Christmas Lights competition, sponsored by Blachere Illuminations UK.

In discussions with the Nunney Community Association (NCA) and Nunney First School we made sure that the whole village would benefit from this opportunity.

As a result, there will this year not be one but two Christmas fully lit Christmas trees in our village: one in the Market Place and one in the grounds of Nunney First School.

The trees will be decorated with thousands of low voltage LEDs to create a magical effect. Modern low voltage LEDs are an energy-efficient solution that uses a fraction of the electricity traditional light bulbs used.

Tied in with the new Christmas lights, the Visit Nunney Christmas Stars Appeal is now raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Christmas is a great time spent with friends and family. It is also a time to remember friends and relatives we are no longer with us.

Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. Today, more than 352,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK. There’s no time to lose!

Cancer Research UK logoCancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. It carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. They have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.

One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives. Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, funded almost entirely by the general public, will ensure that millions more people survive.

Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464), Scotland (SC041666) and the Isle of Man (1103). Donate to the Visit Nunney Christmas Stars Appeal today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

For every £500 raised in aid of Cancer Research UK, Visit Nunney will donate one hugely symbolic lit star to go on top of a Christmas tree.

Donating through our fundraising page on the Cancer Research UK website is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
