Waste collections over Easter

Waste collections over Easter will take place on Saturday, rather than the regular collections on Friday.

Waste collections over EasterWaste collections due on Good Friday 30 March take place on Saturday 31 March (recycling and garden waste only).

No collections on Easter Monday (2 April) mean all that week’s collections are one day later, including Friday pick-ups on Saturday 7 April (all waste and recycling).

A revised collections time-table for Easter 2018 is available to download: Revised collections – Bank holidays 2018.

Please leave your refuse and recycling on the edge of your property by 7am (as collection times can vary) and no earlier than the night before.

Please recycle all that Easter egg packaging, from card to foil. If you make big purchases, please remember to take large sheets of cardboard to your local recycling centre as there is a limit (equivalent of two recycling boxes when flattened) on the kerbside service.

Do not forget to make the most of your food waste bin for all those bones, vegetable peelings and plate scrapings from family meals. For helpful hints to use up left-overs, visit Love Food Hate Waste.

You can report missed bin collections online on the Mendip District Council website.

Frome Recycling Centre will be open as usual over Easter, 8am to 4pm daily.
